Sigi Grabner in action, by Oliver Kraus/FIS

FIS WorldCup PGS at Telluride, Colorado

Today’s race at Telluride I finished on 6th place which makes me pretty happy. It shows that I am coming back step by step from my injury. I can already smell the podium and I have a good feeling for the coming races next week in Carezza/ITA.

In the first qualification run I made a safety run which was not bad but also not too fast. So I stepped on the gas on the second rund and qualified on 8th position for the finals. There I met Philipp Schoch who had a great first run. But I could strike back on the re-run and went on to the second round where I met qualification winner Andi Prommegger. First run I could win against him but in the second run I made a mistake and interfered Andi’s line. I touched him and crashed really hard on my chest struggling to breathe. But fortunately everything was fine – I got 6th.

It was a very successful race for SGsnowboards: Benjamin Karl winning, (Andi Prommegger second and Simon Schoch third) with further SGsnowboards riders Toni Unterkofler on 4th and Aaron March on 5th place. This means a score of 4 out of first 6 riders in favour of SGsnowboards, not bad at all 🙂

Next stop next chance: Carezza, Italy, I come!
