Sigi achieves 35.85 km at the World Run in Barcelona

“Running for those who can’t!” 35.397 runners started under this credo in 34 locations around the world at the same time. They tried to get as far as possible, before they were finally overtaken by the “Catcher Car”, which ended their race at the “Wings for Life World Run”.  Among them was Sigi Grabner, Snowboard-Icon and founder of SG Snowboards.

With the starting number 511 Sigi managed in Barcelona 35.85 kilometers before he was stopped by the Catcher Car. He celebrates a personal goal: “I wanted to run a half-marathon and could even make 14 kilometers more. That’s great! I am very happy and glad for being part of the Wings for Life World Run.”

In the end winner of this run were not only the runners but especially those who can’t!
3.000.000 € of the proceeds from the event will go to the Wings for Life foundation, which funds research into curing spinal cord injury.
