Crested Butte - Mountainbiker’s Paradise

Justin Reiter, US Snowboarder showed me his favourite MTB trails around Crested Butte which were just awesome! And we cheered the Pros at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge at Crested Butte Mountain and Cottonwood Pass.

Riding was very tough on routes ranging from 9.000 feet (2.700 m) to 12.500 feet (3.800 m) but so much fun. Endless single trails around Crested Butte Mountain is the most famous playground for Mountainbikers in Colorado.

Justin gave me his single-speed to try and it was real fun but also pretty exhausting - definitely a full-on training

The variety of trails and the untouched and wild landscape of the Gunnison Forest Natural Park around Crested Butte is certainly the best mountainbiking area in Colorado and probably the best in the USA.

Some of my favourite MTB Tours in the Andorran Pyrenees:

While recovering from my ankle surgery I started to ride my Mountainbike during the last weeks in the Pyrenees of Andorra and Alt Urgell/Catalunya. It feels so good to be out in the nature again and train in the mountains of my home. (Some tracks might not be 100 % complete as GPS ran out of battery)
