CATALUNYA ROADBIKING WILDLIFE
On today’s bike trip to Catalunya I was stopped by the police right before the border to Spain. (No, I wasn’t too fast!) The road was being closed because of the Volta A Catalunya, they were going up to Coll de la Botella.
Later on my way to Castellbó I saved this nice little snake from its certain death by car traffic. It was not poisonous – at least I think it wasn’t!

After being to Japan for many times during the last years I finally made it to visit Kyoto. And I have to say it is a very beautiful city full of history – and of course – tourists 😉

HAPPY END 2009
My Happy-End of the 2009 season
Now it is one week after the season’s finals in Valmalenco, and I feel quite well recovered from all the celebrating 😉 I am really happy and grateful to have won this Big Crystal Globe! Especially as my last season 2008 was not so successful as people were used to. After last winter I told myself to keep the focus on myself for getting back on top – and here I am!
I had a lot of support throughout this winter, all my friends who wanted to see me back on the podium – thanks for your words and for standing behind me – you really gave me a lot of energy! Now spring has come – time for promotional activities: next week my Japanese friends Koji and Masato will arrive in Europe for filming and photoshooting with me and the SGproteam riders. We are going to have a lot of fun riding and getting some nice&hot shots for next years’s carving- and freeriding-videos.

Sigi Grabner ist Gesamtweltcup Sieger 2008/2009
(Valmalenco/Italien, 22.3.2009) – Siegfried Grabner ist Sieger! Sieger im Snowboard Gesamtweltcup und im Parallel Disziplinen Weltcup. Mit dem dritten Platz im Parallel-GS beim heutigen Saisonfinale zog der Profi Snowboarder auf 5520 Punkte und sicherte sich die große und die kleine Kristallkugel und bewies welche Klasse er auch in seiner 15. internationalen Saison besitzt.

"On Sunday March 15, the Snowboard World Cup PGS is going to take place in La Molina/ESP in the Pyrenean Mountains just 1h30min North of Barcelona and not far from La Massana in Andorra.
For my home-race I get prepared here in Andorra, just 1 hour from the race-hill of La Molina. The conditions in my favorite Andorran resorts Pal and Arcalis in Vall Nord are just perfect: The last training days here were probably the best carving days of the whole winter – perfectly groomed and and nearly empty slopes with firm snow and the weather is just spring-style: sunny with +10°C.
With a good mix of "ride & relax" I am going to get all my strenghts together for the last two events of this season. Next week on 22nd of March the Season’s Finals will take place in Valmalenco/ITA."
